Homelessness has been rising in cities all across America at an alarming rate, and New York City is no exception. On any given night, thousands of New Yorkers, including countless children, sleep in a homeless shelter.
SFDSF seeks to build partnerships with relevant city agencies to operate families and single adults shelters. We can ensure that safe, clean, and secure facilities for patrons and that they will be treated with respect and dignity. We work with clients to have them understand that homelessness does not define who they are. Rather, it is an extremely difficult point in their lives.
Our program centers on a holistic approach, concentrating on solutions for permanent housing. Our dedicated staff will focus on the client’s strengths, safety, and recovery. They do this while tailoring a comprehensive support services model to build stable, independent, and self-sufficient futures, including job training, employment services, parenting education, mental health screening, substance abuse treatment, and referrals to rehabilitation facilities.
